Update: Desi won her fight with a 2 round knockout. The Shamrock Shocker showed her stuff by knocking her opponent down 4 times before the fight was called. Local 140 member Desi Samson will be showing off her Muay Thai skills at the upcoming Master Mehrdad's Muay Thai Classic XXIII. Desi will be taking on an opponent from Chicago. Desi picked up Muay Thai as part of her rehabilitation from a car accident. Carpenters Local 140 is a sponser of Desi and she will be showing of her union pride on her robe. Many of us will be on hand to cheer her on. The fight is on Saturday Feb, 27th at the India Cultural Center in Tampa. Doors open at 6:00pm with the fights starting at 7:00pm.
